So clean and very short. I don’t know if I will reread it, but I enjoyed this one. I read it in one setting, and was able to figure out the murderer, though it was more of a guess than the author guiding the read with obvious clues. The entire “vibe” is wholesome. God wasn’t a major focus, though He is mentioned. I was hoping for more of a focus, but overall this was super cute. The writing style is “cozy Christina vintage”. If you have read Love Inspired or Guidepost it is like that, but much lighter. This might put off some readers, but if you like cozy, short mysteries I highly recommend it! It is part of a series and for some reason I thought it they were more standalone-ish. I was able to follow everything, but I think the series would be best enjoyed when read in order. (Note; I haven’t read the rest of the series and am not aware of content in the books). This was my fault though and not the author’s. The book is free on Kindle Unlimited. Characters- I don’t have a lot to say here. I liked the characters, one group of friends in particular are so fun! I was sad about the victim, she was inspiring in a way. Christianity- God is not a main focus, but attending church, growing closer to Him, faith, standing up for moral beliefs, those in need, and relying on His strength and blessing is mentioned as well as a short prayer. Profanity- none Romance- The author hints at a future romance, and characters tease Sammy once about it, but there is no romance in this book. Violence- No graphic violence, someone is murdered. This is a super clean book that could be enjoyed by really anyone, or read with a family, but I think it would most be enjoyed by 12+, maybe older depending on your interest in mysteries. The characters seem older, but no age was mentioned. My personal rating is 3.5 stars, but I might round to 4! ⭐⭐⭐⭐! All Book Reviews 12+Christian Fictioncozy mysteryfamily friendly
